Confronting Ba’al

molech_01April 7, 2016    by   Cathy Helms

The news in March that a monument to Ba’al is scheduled to be erected this month in Times Square, NYC and Trafalgar Square, London, has deeply grieved the many saints who are paying attention. The purpose of this post is to present a timeline of events scheduled for the rest of this month and leading up until May 5th, during which time, I believe, we will see an unprecedented confrontation of the prophets of Ba’al by believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Nothing takes our Heavenly Father by surprise!  Just like He told Elijah that He had preserved 7000 who had not bowed the knee to Ba’al, I am here to tell you that many in the Body of Messiah have purified themselves and are standing together to confront this evil. This move of God, which can be traced back at least 70 years, has been gaining significant momentum since 2011 when our current president received the nomination for a second term of office. I am speaking of a major convergence of intercession across our nation and beyond.

supremecourt1pic.jpgFor example, on Feb. 3, 2016, over 85 intercessory teams began to come together for daily conference calls to intercede for the Supreme Court in advance of the court considering the first abortion case in eight years. For 12 days prior to the oral arguments presented on March 3, 2016, fervent 24/7 worship and intercession flowed continuously with various prayer leaders facilitating one hour segments with along with callers that ranged in number from 5 to 50. Daily prayers continue to this day for this matter at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST, as the court has not yet announced a decision.

As one of the facilitators during those weeks and an eye witness to this process since 2012 when I received an invitation to become a part of a weekly 3-1/2 hour conference call, I can testify that those who have dedicated themselves to praying for America have been greatly hand stretched to heaven.jpgrewarded. As we have been led to repent for personal sin, Abba has revealed the Laodicean indifference and compromise which has led to the desperate straits in which Americans now find ourselves. Going deep into repentance on behalf of America, we have come to terms with the fact that our national leaders merely reflect the Body.

We have acknowledged that we who profess belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are our own worst enemy, being divided into some 40,000 Christian denominations, not to mention Jewish sects.  Jesus/Yeshua said, “if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”[1] It is obvious to anyone with eyes that the kingdom of darkness has claimed much territory in our lifetime. It is time to recognize it is because the Body is divided.

regret.pngWe are coming to understand that, like ancient Israel, the United States of America is being chastised for forsaking the instructions that were given to Moses at Mount Sinai, especially for the shedding of innocent blood. We have slapped ourselves on our thighs and wondered why we stayed silent 43 years ago when the Supreme Court ruled on Roe vs. Wade. Instead of working together for justice and mercy, the pillars of Yahweh’s throne, we have been busy pointing fingers, trying to get the log out of a neighbor’s eye while ignoring the beam in ours.

As those standing in the gap, we have pledged “no more.” No more will we be part of the problem. No more will we point fingers. No more consider ourselves better than others. No more will we be part of the problem. We will, instead, be part of the solution. We will love God with all of our hearts and we will love our neighbors as ourselves. And we will guard what Yahweh calls holy.

Even so, I dare say we are just beginning to understand the magnitude of our national guilt. For example, through the leadership of various ministries across the U.S., intercessors have in the last eight years been made aware of gross injustices in our nation throughout our history to the 500 First Nations tribes scattered throughout our land.

We have also been reminded of our grievous sin of declaring Africans inhuman, buying and selling them, as well as the rise of the ugly prejudice that still exists today in the minds of many who profess Jesus/Yeshua as Savior and Lord. In addition, we have had to face the role we played, and failed to play, as a nation in the murder of nearly 20 million people, including 6 million human traffikingJews in the Holocaust. In addition, the horror of the reality of the abortion industry has been made plain to us. Most shocking to me of all has been the revelation of the magnitude of human trafficking in the USA and the forced abortions that result from it.

Before becoming a part of these conference calls, I had no idea what a sheltered existence I have lived. I am ashamed to admit how little I cared for the victims of injustice. Neither did I understand how important justice is to our Savior and King.

Truly, we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.

We are a greedy and self-righteous people and we do not see our nakedness.

The reality of it all is sometimes overwhelming, yet, great hope has risen among those who are pleading with God. He has allowed us to witness and join streams of intercession issuing forth from deep springs and heretofore hidden wells across the nation—all converging into a mighty river. There is no denial that God alone has done it!

if my people.jpgHe has moved upon the hearts of those willing to make prayer and fasting a priority and, humbled by His mercy, we are coming together with no other distinction other than that given to us in 2 Chron. 7:14. “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” As His people, we have laid down every denomination and doctrine, every educational degree, every racial division, everything except the Word of God—both written and Living.

Even in the number 40,000 mentioned above, we find hope. After 40 years of wandering in the desert, the children of Israel were at last brought to the Promised Land—yet not without the cost of losing all but Joshua and Caleb who were over the age of 20 when the spies brought the evil report. Also encouraging is that in the days when judges ruled Israel, when “every man did what was right in his own eyes,”[2] 40 years of chastisement preceded a change of Israel’s national heart.  Do the 40,000 denominations somehow represent the fullness of time? The fullness of our iniquity of division?

Dick Simmons 8.jpgSome seventy years ago, God touched two servants by whom He would raise up an army of prayer warriors. Dick Simmons, who spent eight to sixteen hours a day praying for as far back as 1957, along with Joy Dawson, who in herjoy dawson.png many books and lectures, have laid a foundation for understanding and submitting to a life of intercession. To these two we are much indebted and grateful to God that they have been multiplied over and over by their trainees and students who have trained others.

The numbers of people who have arisen in response  to Isaiah’s lament that nobody cries “Restore!” [Isa. 42:22] has dramatically swelled since 9/11. In 2015 Charisma Magazine went so far as to declare that the prayer movement had become “massively viral” [3] even though a multitude of churchgoers are unaware of it.  “The Elijah list had 1.2 million hits in a 24-hour period when we made our first announcement. Our own Prayer for America YouTube has had over 20,000 hits over two weeks” reported the magazine.

But, that is far from all. Something truly amazing thing is scheduled to occur this week on Saturday April 9, 2016. Following the biblical prescription for a nation in crisis (Joel 2), two DC16.pnghuge solemn assemblies have been divinely scheduled simultaneously on both east and west coasts of America. DC16 will be held at the Lincoln Memorial on the anniversary of the surrender of Gen. Robert E Lee to Abraham Lincoln, ending the Civil War in 1865 at the cost of 600,000 lives. In 1866 on the same date the Civil Rights Bill passed over the veto of President Andrew Johnson and in 1870 the Anti-Slavery Society dissolved on the same date. In 1945 Dietrich Bonheoffer, pastor and anti-Nazi dissident, was hanged on April 9 just days before the American liberation of the POW camp. In 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King was laid to rest on this date. His niece, Alveda King, is scheduled to speak.

In addition, on April 9, 1906, the Azusa Street revival which launched the Pentecostal Azusa now.pngmovement in the U.S. broke out in Los Angeles with miracles and racial healing. This week’s west coast event, Azusa Now, will commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Azusa Street revival and will be held at L.A. Memorial Stadium. With a capacity of nearly 100,000, the stadium is the 4th largest among the NFL.  Organizer Lou Engle of The Call states in an online promotional video “only a united church can heal a divided nation” and that 40 years of prayer and fasting have gone into this event.[4]

Engle goes on to explain that out of the 1997 Promise Keepers event “Stand in the Gap: A Sacred Assembly of Men” on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. which saw one million men presenting themselves before God in prayer, worship, confession, repentance, and declarations of commitment to Him, [5] came a series of divinely orchestrated events that led to the formation of The Call. Engle describes The Call as a “John the Baptist” National Day of Repentanceproject encouraging prayer and fasting by youth willing to be vessels for God to use to change America.

These two solemn assemblies will be followed by two other important events, the National Day of Repentance on April 30 and the National Day of Prayer May 5. national day of prayer.png

Unfortunately, in the midst of all of these activities which coincidentally (divinely?) occur in the season of Passover (beginning on the Jewish calendar at sundown on the evening of April 21), a not-so-holy event is also scheduled. A 3-D replica of an arch to the Temple of Ba’al that was destroyed by ISIS in Palmyra, Syria is planned to be erected in both Times Square NYC and Trafalgar Square, London.

Michael Snyder, publisher of The Economic Collapse Blog and author of The Beginning of the End, writing for CharismaNews.com, explains that this date is not random; but is, in fact, the exact date when a very important occult festival related to the worship of Baal begins. He explains:

April 19 is the first day of a 13-day period of time known as “the Blood Sacrifice to the Beast” that culminates on the high occult holy day of Beltane on May 1. In some parts of the world, Beltane is much better known as “May Day,” and it has been described as the “Illuminati’s second most sacred holiday.”  The article details a disturbing series of “blood sacrifices” during the second half of April in recent years, including the shooting at Columbine High School and the Boston Marathan.

According to Snyder April 19 is also known as the Feast of Molech or Moloch the ancient Canaanite god to whom ancient Israel was guilty of sacrificing their children, including Solomon.[6]  According to several reports, a giant statue of this pagan deity is set up at the Bohemian Grove in northern California every year.

temple of baal.jpgIs it just a coincidence that reproductions of the arch that stood in front of the Temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria, are going up in New York and London on the precise day when the Feast of Moloch is celebrated and when “the Blood Sacrifice to the Beast” begins? You can read the rest for yourself. No wonder in NYC more black babies are aborted than are born and the state is reported to have the highest abortion rate in the nation.[7]

Dear friends, though these things may be shocking and surprising to us, our God has been preparing for a soon-coming confrontation. Nothing is hidden from Him! Nothing is impossible for “the God who answers by fire”[8] and, IF we will respond, we are about to witness Him in action on a scale that we have never seen.

church of philadelphia.jpgIt has always been about IF! Nothing is impossible with God IF HIS PEOPLE will humble themselves, hear from Him, repent, and do what He says.  Elijah had little strength and even begged to die, yet God gave Elijah the power to confront and defeat the prophets of Baal. God has always used the weak and foolish things to confound the wisdom of the world. I remind you also that it is to the church with “little strength,” Philadelphia, that Jesus/Yeshua promises to keep from the hour of tribulation because “(you) have kept My word and have not denied my name.” Let us rise up and declare HIS mighty name over our nation, YHWH, Creator, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Islamics have no problem declaring the name of their god. Let us be as bold to declare to declare the NAME of our King and His mighty power.

Is God is calling you to be part of this end-time army of intercessors? Are you longing to connect with others who are urgently, fervently crying to God for mercy and forgiveness for His people? Are you crying “Restore!” with every fiber of your being? Are you pleading for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven? If so, feel free to email me at cathy@CathyHelms.com and I will help get you connected with like-minded people.

the justice foundation.pngLastly, Allan Parker, attorney and founder of the Justice Foundation who works tirelessly on behalf of post abortive women as well as those who are likely to be forced into abortions, recently posted a impassioned plea for repentance on YouTube.  Please take time to watch it.

We will close with the words of the prophet Joel:

“Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.  Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him…  Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather thesounding shofar.png people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.” (Joel 2:12-18)

[1] Mark 3:25

[2] We would do well to meditate on the eight usages of this term found in Scripture:

Deu_12:8  Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

Jdg_17:6  In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Jdg_21:25  In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Job_32:1  So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Psa_36:2  For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

Pro_12:15  The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Pro_16:2  All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.

Pro_21:2  Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
